Matteo Mauro

Matteo Mauro, born in Sicily, Italy, is an acclaimed contemporary artist known for blending traditional techniques with digital innovation. Educated in architecture at University College London, Mauro's early experiences in London’s dynamic art scene and academic pursuits laid the groundwork for his distinctive approach, merging computational expression with historical art narratives. His career began with explorations in generative art and wood sculpture, earning early recognition at the Royal Academy of Arts.

Mauro's signature series, Micromegalic Inscriptions, showcases his mastery of generative technology and has received international accolades, including the Master of Art award in 2018 and the International Van Gogh Prize. His groundbreaking work spans painting, sculpture, and digital art, pushing boundaries with projects such as retroactive blockchain tokenization of physical artworks, positioning him as a trailblazer in the NFT space.

Exhibited in renowned institutions such as the Milan Triennale and MEAM, Mauro's art is collected globally and has been featured in collaborations with high-profile partners, including the Lamborghini family. Now based in Milan, Mauro continues to explore the intersection of technology and tradition, reshaping contemporary art with a vision that balances innovation and heritage.
